Bridging The Social Gap

Through Social and Community Service Events
For Online College Students

Multicultural  Organization

Established in 2020

There are thousands of collegiate sororities and fraternities. However, there are significant gaps that exclude most students that pursue higher education in a non-traditional manner, and who desire to join a sorority.  We aim to create a community that offers opportunities for our members to meet in person locally, regionally, and nationally, enabling nontraditional students to experience college life despite pursuing higher education through online means.

Purpose

Sigma Chi Psi is all about inclusivity and aims to provide a sisterhood for women pursuing a degree online. Though we primarily focus on online university students, we also extend membership to community,  technical, and trade school students.

We are NOT an ONLINE sorority. We operate virtually and aim to connect in person locally and nationally through events and philanthropy.

At Sigma Chi Psi, our purpose extends beyond being just another sorority. We envision a community built on bonds, not religious or cult-like rituals or worship. We celebrate the diversity and individuality of our members as we understand that each person brings a unique set of experiences, perspectives, beliefs, and talents. We cherish those differences and the constructive elements connected to our symbols and refrain from engaging in religious or dogmatic convictions. The symbols representing our identity embody positive principles that depict our collective identity, promoting unity and embracing shared values. Inclusivity lies at the heart of our mission.

Our Mission

Sigma Chi Psi Sorority and Gamma Sigma Gamma Fraternity are on a bold mission to bridge the social gap for online students and provide them with an incomparable collegiate experience rooted in academic excellence, service, sisterhood, and brotherhood.  We do not discriminate against race, religion, gender identity,  etc., and aim to provide online students with opportunities to benefit from the sorority social experience that attending higher educational institutions offers. Our dedication to philanthropic work sees us creating the unbreakable bonds upon which lifelong friendships and robust networks are built. We are committed to advocating for all online student communities and strive to be a respected voice for positive change, social justice, and inclusivity.

SINCE 2020

"As technological advancements shape our education system, an increasing number of individuals may opt for online learning, potentially missing out on vital social experiences. We aim to preserve and extend the centuries-old benefits of sororities and fraternities by connecting online students both locally and nationally in meaningful ways ."
